Laundry Specialist

Responsibilities

• Sort and tag articles collected for washing
• Examine and sort articles to be cleaned according to colour, fabric, dirt content and cleaning technique required
• Inspect all items for stains and defects
• Determine the spotting procedures and proper solvents to be used based on fabric and stain types
• Operate equipment for cleaning of soiled garments
• Operate pressing and finishing equipment; flatwork ironer, form finisher, shirt press, pants topper, tunnel finisher, hot head press etc.
• Hang, fold, and wrap cleaned articles for delivery according to requirements
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area

Requirements

• PSLE or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Able to stand for prolonged periods
• Able to operate machinery and follow instructions
• Able to perform repetitive tasks with minimum supervision
