Assistant Manager / Manager, Business Development

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on potential investment opportunities, including the overall business and investment strategy
  • Manage and coordinate with internal and external parties in performance of due diligence and execution of M&A
  • Preparation of internal approval documents and review of M&A transaction documents
  • Assist in identifying and building strategic relationships with relevant external business partners and stakeholders
  • Lead or assist in institutionalising and/or finetuning of SOPs for enhanced work efficiency or good corporate practices

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or Real Estate
  • MBA or CFA will be considered favourably
  • At least 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in M&A/transaction advisory, strategy consulting, private equity or in-house corporate development, strategy or investment roles
  • Experience in real estate will be an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Strong prior experience in M&A or JV transactions; familiarity with the transaction process from start to finish
  • Good business acumen and strong problem solver; good understanding of strategy, corporate finance and valuation
  • Strong coaching and mentorship skills; ability to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand or layman terms
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills to deal effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Must be willing to travel
