Assistant Director of Sales (Village Hotel Changi & Katong)

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar and effective in the sales process: create rapport, ask open questions, follow-up, anticipate and manager expectations, advise conflicts, overcome objections, closing and obtain post-feedback
  • Day-to-day sales activities include telemarketing, sales calls, hotel / serviced residence visits, entertainment, virtual presentations etc.
  • Acquire new sales leads / prospects and establish new accounts to grow account / client base.
  • Foster and develop relationship with existing clients and customers to maintain loyalty; Manage leads and enquiries and provide suitable solutions promptly.
  • Be familiar and diligent with various company systems and sales tools, such as property management system, customer relationship management system, booker loyalty where applicable
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure that we deliver the best to our guests; Work collaboratively with the Revenue Management team to optimize the rates to the hotel
  • Provide timely responses and communication
  • Gather and provide publicly available market information; Provide timely updates to superior and team on activities and market information
  • Achieve various monthly sales targets set to meet overall cluster budget.
  • Review account portfolio regularly and present to management to provide analysis on performance of each account and forward action plans.
  • Compliant with statutory regulations and internal guidelines/SOPs
  • Follow up with clients whose payments are outstanding and long overdue.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by superiors diligently and professionally.
  • Initiate and drive larger scale projects that may require other departments or external parties

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Marketing & Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of same capacity in hospitality industry.
  • Able to lead, manage & motivate a team meet sales goals.
  • Hands-on approach in solving challenges and a good team player.
  • Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management and IT skills.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Able to multi task to meet close deadlines under fast -paced environment.
