Senior Manager, Business Development


  • Identify and assess potential opportunities to achieve the company’s growth objectives, including strategic partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.
  • Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders in targeted markets. Establish new market networks and channels to access opportunities and market intelligence.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence with various departments and external advisors across different stages of the acquisition process.
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility and strategic fit of potential investments and provide recommendations to management.
  • Lead and coordinate inputs from various departments in the deal closing process, including contract negotiation, structuring, settlement, and completion.  
  • Engage relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition of the investment into the company’s portfolio.
  • Drive internal thought leadership to generate growth ideas and strategic growth options for targeted markets.
  • Provide regular updates to management on key developments in targeted markets which may impact the company’s growth plans.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the business development team, including training and streamlining of internal processes and tools to achieve consistently high standards of delivery.  
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations to management on other ad-hoc projects as they may arise.


  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or Real Estate
  • MBA or CFA will be considered favourably
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in M&A, in a Big 4 (Transaction Advisory), strategy consulting firm, private equity or in-house corporate development, strategy or investment roles. 
  • Prior experience in M&A or JV transactions and familiarity with the end-to-end transaction process
  • Good business acumen and strong problem solver; good understanding of strategy, corporate finance and valuation
  • Strong coaching and mentorship skills; ability to articulate complex concepts in layman terms 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and project management skills
