Assistant Director of Sales (Business Travel)
Responsibilities
- Primarily focus on developing new potential key groupwide corporate accounts.
- Meets with key potential clients (with substantial business volume), maintaining relationships, negotiating and securing RFP opportunities for the group.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Organising events relating to corporate business development.
- Reporting to the Head, Business Travel / Director of Sales, Business Travel, this position is responsible for product sales to the Corporate, MICE & Consortia markets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through aggressive sales to achieve profitability goals.
- Required to develop and deliver professional presentations to corporate/consortia/MICE clients to describe and develop appeal for the product.
- Manage the pitch process to corporate clients to maximise rate of closure.
- Conduct regular sales calls to relevant partners, develop sales tools and awareness to secure sales leads.
- Co-ordinate and participate in promotional activities, trade shows and special projects.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the corporate/MICE/consortia segment.
- Expand and increase sales revenue and market share.
- Build and foster strong business relationship with new key corporate/MICE/consortia accounts for the group.
- Ensure consistent business follow-up and secure new RFP opportunities.
- Coordinate and organize promotional activities, sales trips and trade shows.
- Special projects/additional duties may be assigned from time to time based on job requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant corporate room sales experience in the Hospitality industry with proven sales track record; Regional Sales Office experience is preferred.
- Self-motivated, dynamic, result-oriented individual and a team player with strong business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong network.
- Possess strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of Opera/Delphi/Salesforce.com is advantageous
